About David Kidd

"I trained in Europe and earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design from Edinburgh College of Art. I began my career in educational publishing, then designed point-of-sale advertising for five years. I then moved to Oxford to do book and journal production and magazine illustration.

"In the San Francisco Bay area I produced books and catalogs in Quark Xpress and illustrated in pen and ink and digitally.

"My clients include the largest publishers in the world.

"On the PC and Macintosh I am now most proficient in Dreamweaver, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional and Illustrator.

"Now in Portland, Oregon I do web and print layout and design. My work is best described as simple, professional and elegant. I strive to maintain clear communication of the concepts and to always deliver a creative solution within the resources.

"I have detailed knowledge of all facets of graphic arts and am welcoming work now in all fields of my experience."
